EPS Technology and services are based on semiconductor based transformerless Marx generators. One advantage of using a direct capacitive type discharge pulse modulator is the weak dependence of the voltage waveform on the impedance of the load. This is a key Key feature for mass transfer industrial applications as the density and conductivity of the product to be processed vary greatly, (eg. 30%).

A positive Marx generator topology, where several n capacitors Ci are charged in series from a charging power supply, Udc, through IGBT switches Tci and diodes Dci and then discharged in series into a load by IGBT switches Tdi for generating positive pulses.

A bipolar Marx generator topology, where several n capacitors Ci are charged in series from a charging power supply, Udc, through IGBT switches Tfi, Tei and diodes Dhi and Dgi, and then discharged in series into a load by IGBT switches Tfi and Tai for generating positive pulses and by IGBT switches Tbi and Tei for generating negative pulses.
